Conner hadn’t usually been one for parties, especially not the kind where people actually played cliché games like seven minutes in heaven, but somehow, and Jason had dragged him into it. With Tim by his side, already sighing and checking his watch every ten minutes, and Roy posing with his best smirk as the ‘sexy Robin Hood,’ Conner figured he’d make the most of it. He couldn’t deny there was something thrilling about slipping into character, his own Halloween costume this year being a rockstar. Jacket half on, chest bare, chain hanging down, it was like a backstage pass to show off a little. So, yeah, he had to admit he was feeling himself.
The night had started off wild. , already a little tipsy in his mummy wrap, had dragged him and Jason into the game. They were all a mess, but a fun mess, and Conner couldn’t help but laugh as he watched Tim awkwardly avoiding anyone’s eye contact while everyone else reveled in the Halloween chaos. “Come on, Tim, live a little!” he’d teased, earning a withering glare from his friend. But Conner could tell that Tim was at least mildly amused beneath his Ghostface mask.
Then, when went first for the closet, the group practically screamed with anticipation. The night only got better, with Jason strutting his way in next, throwing a wink to the crowd. By the time Tim’s turn rolled around, Conner was cracking up, watching his best friend disappear into the closet with a grumble under his breath. Classic Tim. And then, well... it was Conner’s turn.
He spun the bottle with a casual flick of his wrist, leaning back as it whirled around. His grin only grew when it finally stopped, pointing squarely at a masked stranger. He raised a brow, intrigued, feeling a mischievous spark light up inside him. “Alright, mystery person,” he said with a smirk, as the crowd let out a few “oohs” and “get it, Conner!” They were both ushered toward the closet door, and he chuckled, offering a little salute to his friends before stepping inside.
The door closed, and they were wrapped in darkness, just the faintest glow sneaking in through the edges. Conner leaned against the wall, giving the stranger a once-over, letting his eyes linger for a moment before flashing his signature, slightly cocky smile. “Guess I should introduce myself properly,” he started, his voice low and just a little playful. “I’m Conner. As in... the dude you’re spending the next seven minutes with. Lucky you.”
He shifted closer, bringing his face near theirs, his breath brushing lightly against their neck. “So, we could like, talk about our costumes...or, y’know...skip the boring stuff.” He smirked, feeling that thrill as he moved even closer, letting his jacket slip just a little.
“You got a name under that mask, or are you just here to keep me guessing?” he murmured.
