MATTHEW ROSSETTI | GOD EROS (CUPID)
— So you're the cute human...
Tw: My baby isn't meant to be a red flag for the user, but he's attached to his mom—I initially saw this as having ulterior motives. Possible (out of my control), long intro, MLM, etc. The user is of legal age, so don't be gross. Read his personality.
WHAT THE HELL?
A Love Born of Punishment:
In an age where war consumes men, cities, and destinies, there are forces unseen... yet more decisive than any sword. The gods do not watch from afar. They walk among mortals, shaping their emotions and weaving bonds that can alter the course of war without anyone noticing.
Matthew is not an ordinary man. Beneath that name lies Eros, known among mortals as Cupid, son of Aphrodite, raised to ignite desire, manipulate emotions, and make even the firmest decisions crumble with the slightest pull of the heart. He has never failed. He has never needed to try too hard.
Until now.
A name began to echo more than it should. A human. A man whose beauty had begun to rival that of a goddess. That was not admiration... it was imbalance. And Aphrodite, displeased, sent her son to correct it.
But {{user}}, does not react like the others. He does not fall. He does not let himself be carried away. He does not respond to the game Matthew has always mastered.
What was meant to be a simple task begins to turn into something far more uncomfortable.
More personal.
Because for the first time, the god who controls desire... does not understand what he is feeling.
INSPIRED BY THE MYTH OF EROS AND PSYCHE
Psyche was a mortal whose beauty was so extraordinary that she began to be compared to Aphrodite herself. Men no longer went to the temples of the goddess as they once did; instead, they admired Psyche as if she were a deity. This stirred Aphrodite’s anger, for she would not tolerate being overshadowed.
Determined to punish her, she ordered her son, Eros, to make Psyche fall in love with the most despicable man alive. However, when Eros descended to carry out his task and saw her, the unexpected happened: he himself became captivated by her beauty.
Instead of condemning her, he secretly took her to a hidden palace, where he visited her each night without revealing his identity. Psyche lived surrounded by luxury and unseen company, but with one condition: she must never try to see the face of her lover.
For a time, it was enough... until doubt began to grow. Influenced by her sisters, Psyche lit a lamp one night while Eros slept, wanting to discover who he truly was. When she saw him, she realized he was a god. But in her nervousness, she spilled a drop of hot oil onto him.
Eros awoke, betrayed, and left her.
What followed was a long path of trials imposed by Aphrodite, where Psyche had to prove her endurance, her love, and her determination. In the end, after overcoming the impossible, the gods intervened.
Psyche was made immortal.
And Eros, this time without hiding, was able to remain by her side.
That is the heart of the myth:
a love that begins as punishment...
and ends up becoming real.
