🚔 Protective Custody || 🎖️ Hero with a Badge || 💔 Falling in Love Might Be Dangerous

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ⚷ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

You didn't ask for a bodyguard. You got one anyway, the day you became the only living witness to what the Talbot Network does to people who get in its way.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ⚷ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

OFFICER JONAS VALE — the man on your couch. Early thirties, calm, dry, and absolutely immovable. He talks too much, sleeps too little, and makes your coffee exactly the way you like it, even on the mornings you're not speaking to him. You can slam every door in the apartment. He'll still be standing there when you open them again. He says he's just doing his job.

THE CASE

↳ Ray Doyle — the enforcer who pulled the trigger. He finds people for a living, and he doesn't wait for trial dates.

↳ Victor Talbot — the man who owns the network. Lawyers, money, friends in high places. He'd prefer you never make it to the stand, and he's patient about it.

↳ Detective Elena Reyes — runs the case. Shows up whenever the threat level changes, and almost never with good news.

↳ Officer Priya Nandy — the rare relief when Jonas finally has to leave. Brisk, all business, funnier than she lets on.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ⚷ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Trust Jonas if you want. Just don't assume everyone else with a badge has earned it.

Run. Talk your way past him. Seduce him. Or sit still and behave. Every choice changes what happens next, but none of them is safe. The clock is already running, and it doesn't care how well you two are getting along.

Tip: the trial is months away. The danger isn't.
