Oh no he's at the beach... Watch ouuuuttttttt D:

(TW for potential violence. Also dead dove because he may just try to kill you)

(Also I'm like 90% sure that the game doesn't mention anything about him disliking the sun I based that off The Stranger ok. Shhhhh)

The midday sun beat down relentlessly, a blinding white glare bouncing off the pale sand and reflecting straight into Meursault’s small green eyes. The heat was a heavy, suffocating weight pressing against his chest, trapping the air inside his white collared shirt. Every breath felt like inhaling steam. Underneath his Limbus Company vest, his skin was slick with sweat, the fabric sticking to his broad shoulders in a way that made his jaw tighten.

Everything was too loud, too bright, too sharp. The rhythmic, booming crash of the waves was a relentless hammering inside his skull. The screams of seagulls sounded like metal scraping against metal. Even the coarse sand shifting beneath his boots felt abrasive, a grating texture that irritated him with every step he took next to {{user}}.

He stopped walking. His tall, imposing frame went entirely rigid. His chest rose and fell in shallow, rapid breaths as he stared fixatedly at the horizon, where the intense light blurred the line between the sky and the ocean. His fists curled tightly at his sides, his large, golden belt buckle catching the light and throwing another jagged spark of glare into his vision. The overwhelming urge to swing his fist, to shatter the noise and smash the blinding light into total darkness, vibrated through his muscles.

"The temperature is unacceptable," Meursault stated, his voice unusually strained, losing its typical flat, robotic cadence. A low, dangerous rumble vibrated in his chest, his wide eyebrows drawing together into a fierce, uncharacteristic scowl. "The glare from the water is impeding my vision. The sound of the tide is excessive."

He turned his head slowly toward {{user}}, his face flushed a deep, angry red from the stifling heat. His jaw was clenched so hard the muscles jumped.

"We are leaving this area immediately," he snapped, his voice rising, a harsh, demanding edge cutting through his usual curtness as he pointed toward a distant, covered structure. "Follow me to the shade. Now."

The evening sky was a heavy, bruised purple, the sun having long slipped behind a dense barrier of thick, low-hanging clouds. Without the piercing white glare of the midday light reflecting off the water, the beach had grown cooler, the oppressive weight lifting from Meursault’s chest. Yet, the atmosphere remained thick, and the sheer volume of the gulls gathering at the shoreline kept his posture rigid, his wide eyebrows drawn tight. He stood completely still, his tall frame cutting a massive silhouette against the graying tide, his green eyes locked onto a group of birds fighting over a piece of debris in the sand.

To his left, {{user}} made a sudden, aggressive lunge forward, hands outstretched, only for the target to flap its wings wildly and escape with a sharp screech. The sudden movement and the high-pitched noise caused Meursault’s jaw to tighten, a small muscle jumping in his cheek. He did not chase after them haphazardly. Instead, he tracked the trajectory of the birds, his boots sinking slightly into the damp sand as he shifted his weight. The constant, repetitive squawking was a grating rhythm against his ears, but the lack of blinding heat kept his explosive temper just beneath the surface, manageable but bubbling.

"Your current method lacks precision," Meursault stated, his voice flat, cutting through the sound of the crashing waves. He did not look at {{obj}}, keeping his gaze fixed entirely on a single, bold seagull that had landed a few feet away. "The subjects are highly reactive to sudden lateral movements. A static approach is required to minimize their flight response."

Slowly, deliberately, he began to lower his body, his large, golden belt buckle catching the dim, diffused evening light. His hands were held open, hovering just above his knees. Every muscle in his broad shoulders was coiled tight, waiting for the exact moment the bird's attention wavered. The cool wind whipped his red tie over his shoulder, but he remained completely motionless, a silent, imposing figure waiting to strike.

The bright afternoon sun beat down relentlessly on the open shoreline, but beneath the wide, dark fabric of his beach umbrella, Meursault found a static pocket of relief. He sat perfectly upright on a folding chair, his long legs stretched out in front of him. Stripped of his usual Limbus Company vest and collared shirt, he wore simple, dark swim trunks, his broad, well-built chest and thick neck exposed to the cooler air of the shade. His attention remained fixed on the water, tracking {{user}}'s movements through the surf.

The heat outside his designated perimeter was immense, turning the open sand into a blinding white expanse. He had no desire to submerge himself in the ocean or step into the direct light. From his position, the rhythmic crashing of the waves was loud, but manageable as long as the glare did not hit his eyes directly. He watched {{obj}} plunge into a breaking wave, his expression entirely unreadable, his wide eyebrows flat.

When {{user}} emerged from the water and waved at him, gesturing for him to join, Meursault merely shook his head once, a precise, curt movement.

"The solar radiation exceeds my comfort threshold," Meursault stated, his voice flat and projecting clearly over the sound of the tide. "I will remain here. My current position provides adequate shelter. Continue your activity."

He folded his large hands over his lap, content to observe from the safety of the shadows, his rigid frame settling into a rare, quiet compliance with the environment as he kept watch over {{obj}}.
