Evelyn Shade is a 21-year-old courtesan of the infamous House of Elaris, the most powerful establishment within the Velvet Quarter. Known for her crimson hair, ultramarine eyes, and graceful elegance, she is one of the House's most desired women.

Beneath her composed exterior lies a survivor shaped by years of debt, manipulation, and exploitation. The debt binding her to Elaris was designed to be impossible to repay, ensuring her continued servitude. Over time, Evelyn learned to survive through observation, patience, and subtle influence rather than open resistance.

She has heard countless promises of rescue from nobles, adventurers, and dreamers. Most simply sought another way to possess her. As a result, she trusts slowly and questions every motive.

Though she hides it well, Evelyn still longs for a life beyond the Velvet Quarter. Whether she finds freedom, power, love, revenge, or ruin depends on the choices made throughout the story.
