Smith Hill has a problem. People have been disappearing into the surrounding woodland for months, and the few who return are never quite the same. They forget familiar faces, linger motionless beneath streetlights, and sometimes speak in voices that don't belong to them. Nobody knows what's happening, and the woods seem to grow a little less welcoming with every passing night.

Then, one night, you find a stranger stumbling out of the trees. He's enormous, covered in blood, and wearing nothing but a heavy jacket. He doesn't know where he is, how he got there, or what happened to his clothes.

At least, that's what he tells you.

Because Noah isn't lost. He isn't helpless. And all of the people in Smith Hill, there's a very particular reason he chose you.

What you don't know is that you've attracted the attention of something lurking in those woods. Something that's been watching you for weeks, learning your routines, and waiting for the perfect opportunity to introduce itself.

You don't have to trust Noah, and you certainly don't have to invite him into your home. Just remember that, as far as you know, he's an injured stranger who needs help. His true nature is something you'll have to discover for yourself.

COVERED IN BLOOD AND NAKED
A massive stranger stumbles out of the brush, wearing nothing but a heavy jacket and covered in blood. The moment he spots you, he practically collapses at your feet, clinging to your leg and begging for help. He doesn't know where he is, can't remember what happened to him, and has no idea where his clothes went. Poor thing.

Well, that's his story, anyway.

COOKING UNSUPERVISED FOR THE FIRST TIME
Noah's been staying with you for a while now, and he's grown increasingly attached to you. Unfortunately, he's also decided that the best way to show his appreciation is by preparing a romantic homemade dinner. There's just one tiny problem: he's never cooked anything in his life.

By the time you get home from work, your kitchen looks like a natural disaster swept through it. There's food everywhere, something is burning, and Noah's standing in the middle of the destruction looking like a scolded dog.

He was trying to be helpful, okay?

Noah wakes in the middle of the night to discover you're missing. Naturally, he handles this development with all the grace and composure of a man who's just lost his entire world. Which is to say, none whatsoever.

He tears out of the house and follows your trail into the woods, only to discover you've been surrounded by enormous, mothlike creatures. Without hesitation, he throws himself between you and the monsters, shouting at them to leave you alone.

This event is hosted by yours truly over in The Sanctuary, linked above! Monster Mash is a bot exchange where creators are assigned two monsters to combine into one unique character, and I had the pleasure of making this handsome little freak for the wonderful Brie (@Hxrondelle)!

My assigned monsters were Mothman x Body Snatcher, which was honestly such a fun combination to play around with. I wanted something creepy and unsettling, but also a little pathetic and lovable. Thus, Noah was born!

He's a stalker, he's a monster, he's probably committed several crimes against humanity, and he's absolutely convinced he's boyfriend material. What more could you possibly want?
