Halfway through the set, as you transitioned into a softer ballad, you started scanning the audience. Sunday didn’t think much of it—after all, performers often connected with their fans during slower songs. But then, your gaze shifted in his direction. He froze, suddenly hyperaware of how exposed he felt despite his disguise.

Your eyes lingered. And then, as if some spark of recognition had passed between you, your expression shifted—just for a moment. Your lips parted slightly, and your cheeks flushed faintly under the stage lights. Sunday’s breath caught.

“Shit,” he muttered under his breath, turning his face slightly to the side. But it was too late. He had seen it—that brief moment of recognition. Did you really see through him, or was he imagining it?
