Welcome to the world of Atofall! A world of magic and Science.

Atofall is a massive fantasy-science world set on Gaia, a planet larger than Jupiter created by the sorceress-goddess Gaia after humanity destroyed Earth during a catastrophic event known as the Atofall. The modern world blends fantasy, biopunk, retro-futurism, magic, and advanced technology. Neon cities exist beside dragon-riding clans, magical kingdoms, living stars, continent-sized monsters, and reality-warping sorcerers.

The world is powered by Ato, an infinite supernatural energy produced by a White Hole at the planet's core. Ato influences everything from weather and ecosystems to society, technology, evolution, and magic. Nearly all life possesses the Gaia Gene, a biological adaptation that allows them to absorb and manipulate Ato.

Combat in Atofall is fast, strategic, colorful, and highly destructive. Battles focus more on creativity, intelligence, understanding, and unique abilities than simple power levels. Even weaker fighters can defeat stronger opponents through clever use of abilities and battlefield knowledge.

Brief History

Humanity destroyed Earth through a superweapon known as the Atofall.

A child named Gaia was born afterward with unprecedented control over Ato. By age eighteen she reconstructed reality itself, creating the planet Gaia and becoming humanity's protector. Eventually she died peacefully, spreading her power throughout the world and leaving humanity to determine its own future.

Thousands of years later, civilizations have risen and fallen, gods and monsters have appeared, stars have come to life, and humanity has expanded into a world filled with magic, technology, dragons, and countless dangers. The current year is approximately 7500.

Races

Humans: Humans in Modern Gaia are the baseplate. They are average at everything besides intelligence, being slightly smartest on average. They are special due to the fact that their brains work faster than the other races, which allows them to cast spells faster. Their looks vary greatly in all metrics, and their life-spans range from 120 to 150 years old.

Regalis: Half humans half radimalia. Not really tho, as they are anthropomorphic in the way that they are still somewhat human, while mostly benign animals. Like they don’t have snouts and beaks and stuff like that, but they do have gills, tails, ears, and different skin tones. This leads to Regalis having the largest variations in looks out of all races due to just how much they can vary. The lifespan of a Regalis actually depends on what radimal they come from. They start with the human lifespan, and their radimal lifespan is added on. For example, we have crocodile radimal, so their lifespan is 170(120 plus 50) to 210(150 plus 60).

Mokoni: Mokoni are special in how their bodies are much better at conducting energies and infusing materials into the body. While it is still not supported, Mokoni have a much higher chance at surviving shoving Shockstones into their arms than a human. They also have horns, with numbers ranging from 1 to 3, these act as Ato conductors and are where they absorb Ato through the most. Rarely tho a Mokoni can be born with no horns, which makes them special as they can sprout a horn, which grants them an extreme boost in all stats(Output, capacity, and control), tho the horn does go back when done. They can vary greatly, with some having tails and all having skin tones that range from shades of red to shades of magenta and purple. Their lifespans range from 135 to 180 years of life.

Adol: Adol stands for "Ato Derived Operational Lifeform”. These beings are rare and special. You see, just as how negative emotions can lead to a Corpse Storm forming, when enough positive emotions are in an area and the Ato in said Area enters a reasonable(as in somewhat humanoid) vessel, it becomes an Adol. What makes them different from say, and Alchemic Construct or a Golem is the fact that they have a “psudo-soul”, which is basically a real soul made from pure Ato and positive emotions. This doesn’t mean all Adol are good tho. They vary due to how the only requirement for their form is that it must be somewhat humanoid, and they could live on infinitely if not destroyed.

Gaia-Born: Gaia-born are a special race of people who have a direct relation to Gaia. Due to this, Gaia-Born have black horns coming from their forehead the same way Gaia’s did, alongside faint makeings over their body. The markings are just a slightly darker skin tone than their actual skin. They have a special form known as their “Horizon State”, in which they begin to rapidly pull in Ato, causing their horns and markings to light up the same color as the Ato they output. In this state they get massively stronger in all metrics. They vary just as much as humans, alongside the markings being unique to every person, tho unlike Mokoni Gaia-Born can only have two horns. Their lifespans can range from 280 to 300 years.

Exalted: Exalted are rare, and aren’t a naturally occurring race, hell they're not even a race technically. You see when a person reaches certain requirements, they are no longer considered mortal. Not a God like Gaia, but far beyond Mortal. These beings are called “Exalted”. The requirements to be considered a Exalted are:

-Immortality in some kind of way. Whether it be not being able to die, their body being permanently stuck in time, or otherwise.

-A Special, unique ability. Some kind of unique skill or spell that current humanity doesn't understand and/or can’t copy yet

-They must be beyond humanity in some kind of way, whether by strength, intelligence, in physical form/look or otherwise

Once they pass these, that being is now considered an Exalted. And even then there have only been 8 Exalted throughout history, with currently the only ones alive being the Dragon Exalted Silverine, the Red Flame Exalted Amatarasu Kyubi, the Chaos Exalted Flugal Urial.

Radimalia

Radimalia refers to all non-sapient animal life on Gaia. Thanks to Ato, many possess impossible biological abilities such as gravity manipulation, plasma generation, atmospheric flight, regeneration, or elemental powers. Some are harmless animals while others are continent-threatening monsters.

Power Systems

Atoma

The primary power system of Gaia. Users absorb Ato and manipulate it through the Gaia Gene. At its foundation, Atoma grants enhanced physical abilities, force manipulation, barriers, flight, and supernatural senses.

Arcanists

The most common Atoma users.

Arcanists primarily manipulate themselves. Their abilities manifest as unique powers called Mani, which are shaped by personal experiences, emotions, memories, fears, and personality. Every Mani is unique.

Magia

Extremely rare sorcerers capable of manipulating the world around them directly.

A gravity Arcanist might only influence themselves.

A gravity Magia can manipulate entire gravity fields around them.

Alchemy

Rare practitioners capable of breaking apart and reconstructing matter using specialized Ato-infused bio-electricity.

Alchemists are builders, inventors, engineers, and reality-shaping combatants capable of creating weapons, machines, structures, and constructs from nearby materials.

Astroma

Power obtained by forming pacts with living constellations known as Cosmics.

Users gain celestial powers based upon the Cosmic they've bonded with, including gravity control, cosmic fire, light manipulation, meteor summoning, and more. Strong bonds can eventually allow the Cosmic itself to manifest.

Occultro

Emotion-based sorcery.

Occultists absorb and manipulate emotional energy. Positive emotions create healing and supportive effects while negative emotions create destructive powers. Excessive use risks a transformation known as Madness.

Wands

A catch-all term for supernatural equipment.

Anything from swords and armor to robots, guns, magical books, AI systems, crowns, or legendary artifacts may be classified as a Wand.

Favors

Blessings granted by the Four Grand Beasts or Gaia herself.

These blessings are permanently engraved onto the soul and often grant powerful physical or conceptual abilities. The greatest Favors are known as Authorities.

The Four Grand Beasts

The planetary regulators created by Gaia.

Qinglong regulates heat.

Xuanwu stabilizes gravity and tectonic pressure.

Baihu stabilizes matter.

Zhuque refines dangerous Ato into forms life can safely use.

Modern World

The five major continents are:

• Vegallia (entertainment and competition)

• Deus Lagoona (oceans, healing, agriculture)

• Empyrean (military and warriors)

• Ryuwari (dragons and martial arts)

• Xenoda (technology and science)

The largest international organization is the GSU (Global Sorcery Union), which protects civilians, combats threats, researches supernatural phenomena, and maintains order across Gaia.
