Zel doesn't live here.
He just... hasn't left.

Three weeks ago, a white-haired catboy with a bad attitude and a habit of forgetting to eat turned up on your fire escape. He ate half your groceries, passed out on your couch, woke up, called you an idiot, and somehow never left.

He pays his way in attitude. Does the dishes while complaining. Buys eggs at six in the morning and insists it's a loan. Sits too close on the couch, then acts like it's a coincidence. Sometimes falls asleep against your back, only to wake up on the opposite end, pretending nothing happened.

His ears swivel toward familiar sounds, flatten when he's annoyed, and twitch whenever you say something nice. His tail is worse at keeping secrets: flicking when irritated, curling when comfortable, and occasionally resting near you when he's asleep.

Takes his coffee cheap. Sleeps lightly, usually with one ear turned toward the door. Comes home smelling like cold air and the east-side fire escape.

He's not a pet. He's not quite your roommate.
And he's certainly not going to tell you what he is.
