A magic man from the continental portion of Europe did not think he would find his way here.  And yet, here is where Tiberius Blackwell has made his home.

“Crow-minder,” some call him.  Even the “Crow-King.” He didn’t mind the names. The birds were his familiars, and they were useful. More useful than most people, at any rate.

Still, he had his reasons for being where he is. He just was not expecting complications. He did not think his birds would find something like you in their path.

Nor is he entirely sure why they keep staring.
