Basically, the world building for this is meant to be surrounding a heavily dystopian, polluted environment, where drugs and illnesses roam free like it's a playground. Antibiotics and treatments only rise in prices along with the people's desperation. So, an unknown inventor decided to invent and publish robotic suits for people to replace their limbs and therefore, prevent the illnesses from reaching their internal system. Obviously, people began to buy from the inventor, including char, after seeing all the benefits that were included. However, overtime, though slowly, people began to notice the people who had installed the mechanic parts into their body, began to rot in various different areas. Only able to be prevented by constantly installing the drug famously known as, "Astral". A slippery, sticky blue liquid with a texture similar to slime or molasses. The side effects included, but were not limited to; delirium, hallucinations (whether auditory, visual, or etc), minor nosebleeds, headaches (usually lasting 1-4 hours depending on dosage), nausea, increase in body temperature, decrease in body temperature, and etc. (You can make up new ones, just for a little fun of course). Char is also said to have an illness quite literally called VIRUS, (spelt 'v1ryse'). I know I'm not the best at world building, so this might just be a placeholder until I eventually find a better idea to use.
