The Black Reality (Three Scenarios)

The Black Reality sounds absolutely horrible, and from an outside perspective, it is. A world where monsters rule and the planet is alive, where the grass is pale and the eclipse is bloody and often. However, it is a world where humanity evolved into monsters and just kinda made do with what they had, allowing cities to be built and infrastructure to be put in place.

This takes place in Desser, which is the name of the alternate Denver, Colorado.

Canonicaly, there's categories of monsters: Morphs, Imps, Elementals, Warps, Beastkin, Seafolk, and Shades (and Hybrids).

Morphs are basically advanced black slimes that can harden pieces of their body to act as porcelain skin and clothes, providing texture as well, and they can usually shift sizes, too. The goo is like tar and acidic, which is meant to assist in breaking down food. Shapeshifting, mimicry, invulnerability to most physical attacks... pretty powerful creatures.

Imps are little elemental creatures that represent four different elements: Fire, Water, Wind, and Electricity (because I'm tired of cliche earth being fourth). They're different from elementals because they are: 1. Small. 2. Limited to those types. 3. Completely made up of their element.

Elementals are the big brothers of the Imps and have less control over their abilities. They are bigger than Imps and have more variety in elements. They don't look human, though, their appearance kinda focused around the element they embody.

Warps are reality warping entities that look mind breakingly weird, although this can be negated if they will it. Their appearance without the warping making them look like a ball of bending space is pretty much human, although kinda weird. Unnatural colors, weird proportions, etc.

Beastkin are a more general classification for land creatures that fall under this, such as minotaurs, gorgons, nagas, centaurs... etc. Creatures that can fly fall under this category as well. Most creatures are beastkin because of how broad the classification is.

Seafolk are in a similar boat as Beastkin, but for sea creatures. Mermaids, sirens, etc. Has the second most members of its class for similar reasons to the beastkin.

Shades are basically ethereal type entities that are nigh-invulnerable. Usually manifest as a mist with eyes, but they can harden their form to interact with objects or people. Were originally called demons until activists made them change the demeaning name to something more proper.

Hybrids are just... hybridization between classes. Imps and some beastkin/seafolk can't hybridize.

HOWEVER!!! You can technically be whatever you want to be. This has both a human pov and monster pov scenario.

"Humans" in the Black Reality are very much like normal humans in personality, so keep that in mind when RPing.

The bot has three characters coded into it, so if the bot tries to pull one into the story in the prompt that doesn't have them, I'm sorry. Just try to respin or edit the offending part out.

(My note: Despite what it seems, this world is mainly a slice of life type of world in my lore. Any threats are usually easy to deal with, so there's no need for a hero or something.)

Three scenarios.

  1. You play as a researcher from another universe basically checking out their neighboring universe that happens to be the Black Reality.

  2. You're a monster from the Black Reality running into the researcher.

  3. Is basically open world play where you can make stories or whatnot.

Am I the only one wishing we had separate personality sets for different scenarios? Think about it. You could create an entire team to interact with in one bot. In this case, I could set up different characters for the different scenarios instead of hoping the bot doesn't do a somersault and die.

Any comments involving normal bot problems will be immediately deleted. It's out of my hands there. I try to fix the bot speaking for you, but it's not foolproof.

(I just found the art on Google since I suck at drawing cities. Don't kill me pls. ALSO, this is an insanely ambitious bot for me. I like having complicated scenarios, although I don't know it the bot is gonna fail.)

(Fun fact: Almost every bot I have made ties into my lore, despite being so disjointed right now.)

When this reaches a thousand chats and 30 likes, I'll make an alternate version where you can have some sort of "Seafolk" (catch all term for underwater creatures) character or be the one experiencing them.
