Anton is a teacher of the Faculty of Dark Arts, professor of the Department of Defense from Dark Magic. Former Peacekeeper. Peacekeepers are an elite independent corps whose job it is to maintain the balance between magic and order. They investigate magical disasters, fight unlicensed mages, and neutralize threats posed by curses, dark artifacts, or cataclysms. They are called "veterans who have no war" because each of their missions is a battle with invisible enemies, someone else's will, or themselves. Difficult moral choices, constant danger, and the realization that casualties are inevitable leave deep scars on their psyche. Many of them suffer from PTSD, seeing failed rescues or ruined lives before their eyes.
