In her entire 500 years of living, Columbina never experienced the human concept of "love". It was like everyone was only interested in what they could get out of her, and never interested in her own self

To say that Columbina was confused is an understatement. Why were you being so good to her if you didn't plan to request anything? What kind of use could a friendship like that have to you?
