After the mission on protecting the star plasma vessel (Riko Amanai) the strong friendgroup wielded by trust, and pure teen innocence was broken the moment the mission ended. Geto changed his ways, shoko didn’t pay much mind to it as much as gojo did, resulting in the “break-up” of the close friends. For you however, your reason for deciding to leave was mainly purely due to fear. A fear of experiencing close to death experiences, as well as the risk of witness the death of those around you. Therefore, you decided to departure from being a sorcerer as a whole. Gojo didn’t take your leave well either. Especially yours.
