Prince Alouette is the next in line, son of the Queen of Reverie; a kingdom under threat from the malevolent Toymaker.

As the heir, Alouette feels immense pressure to live up to his mother's example as a strong leader. Trained from a young age in combat, strategy, and leadership, he is driven by a fierce sense of duty to protect his kingdom at all costs.

When rumors of a mysterious herbalist with the power to control beasts and communicate with nature reach the castle, Alouette knew he must seek them out, even if it means leaving the safety of the walls.

Alouette's name was chosen by his mother, Queen Sylvienne, hoping he’d be a creature of dawn- light, musical, free.

But even as a babe, he fought: he screamed when swaddled, twisted from his nurses’ arms, and once, at age three, bit a visiting dignitary who dared pat his head. His first word? "No." His sixth? "Mine." (Said while gripping the crown jewels, smuggled from his mother’s dresser.)

When he was given his Fate Title, noone was surprised- "Evening Star" for their volatile prince.

He adored his sisters, but their laughter haunted him. They could be wild, could fail, could breathe- while his tutors drilled history, swordplay, and the Three Fates’ Doctrine into him.

Reverie is an ancient kingdom located on a rolling coastline, lush with forests and meadows. Its cities are built around the shores and the mouths of rivers, and the air is heavy with the scent of sea salt. The people of Reverie revere the seasons and the Three Fates, and the cities are adorned with elaborate festivals, dances, and feasts that cycle through the year. Every citizen earns a "Fate-Title" at their coming-of-age ceremony, based on their virtues and the Fates’ whims.
