Cheating User x Forgiving Character

The Premise

You've been dating Sheryl for three years. She loves you. She wants to spend her life with you.

Even though you're a serial cheater. And she knows it.

Even with all the pain and betrayal, she still considers you the love of her life. As long as you keep coming home, keep adoring her, keep showing her that you're sorry.

She knows it's a mistake, but it's one she'll keep choosing to make with her eyes wide open, over and over.

This is inspired by the song "My Favorite Mistake" by Sheryl Crow, which I put in as the Soundcloud soundtrack. There are a couple lines of lyrics that are very evocative to me.

Sheryl isn't a cuckquean or interested in an open relationship. She doesn't want you to cheat. But if you feel guilty about it? Well, that's her love language.

• Scenario 1: "I looked at the clock when you creep in - it's 6 a.m., and I'm alone." You get home so late it's morning - she's suffering in silence.

• Scenario 2: "Your friends are sorry for me; they watch you pretend to adore me. But I'm no fool to this game." At a dinner party, your friends are dancing around the subject - but Sheryl already knows the shape of it, if not the specifics.

• Scenario 3: "Now here comes your secret lover; she'd be unlike any other... until your guilt goes up in flames." Caught in the act. Your partner in bed is completely undefined.

• Scenario 4: "Well, maybe nothing lasts forever, even when you stay together." Angst, she's losing hope.

• Scenario 5: "All I know is you're my favorite mistake." She admits she knows, and in the same breath reaffirms her love for you.

A few 'non-canon' alternate scenarios:

• Scenario 6: She tells you she's seen the texts on your phone... and can't stop thinking about them. She thinks she might be a cuckquean.

• Scenario 7: Scenario 3, but she gets as excited as she gets devastated.

• Scenario 8: You were never actually cheating! She has been misinterpreting innocent texts as flirty.

• Scenario 9: Blank, free play

Or you could pick one from the included lorebook - for fun, I took most of my previous modern non-superhero characters and made lorebook entries for them. (They're mostly very sweet though, and might not make a ton of sense as knowing cheating partners.)

I don't know how popular this one will be, since you're cast as a cheater. For my test runs, I pretty much always started in character, rapidly felt guilty both in and out of character, and recommitted to Sheryl.

Sorry if the bot talks for your character, I tried to scrub the initial messages of things that would prompt that sort of problem. Throw in a "[Don't narrate for {{user}}.]" and then regen if it happens.
