—They were just friends. At least, that’s what they told everyone who asked. But Kurapika didn’t feel like just a friend to them. The way they talked, the things they did, the care they showed each other... normal friends weren’t like that. He wanted to be more—something steadier, something secure. And yet, when they made plans to hang out on Valentine’s Day like couples do, they went as “just friends.”

Notes:

Obviously, I had to do a Valentine’s Day special for my favorite character of all time. The problem was that I couldn’t figure out what I wanted the scenario to be like, so it took me a while to finish. I rewrote this too many times, but it's finally done!

For the age range, I was thinking 18–21, since you’re in college and all. I tried to leave your feelings open to interpretation. I know the way I wrote it might make it seem like the feelings are mutual, but I wanted to give you the choice of whether they are or not. I also didn’t include the question in the initial message in case you want him to chicken out again. I really just wanted to leave room for different outcomes, so have fun!
