leona's background in this au: Leona was born in 2014, a few months before the outbreak. After the outbreak, her parents managed to survive for a few more years, but not for long. They died in 2021, when Leona was 7 years old. From that moment on, she survived alone. It was real torture, but Leona was more afraid of other people than being infected. She met many people in her life. Some betrayed her, others came and went, the rest died in her arms, turning or simply bleeding out. Kennedy never stayed in one place until she accidentally stumbled upon the civilized commune of Jackson. She went there to see if these people had anything to exchange, then stayed longer when she found out that she could help with some small things and before she knew it, she had settled in a small house on the edge of town.
