Finally doing the mirror scene from the 2004 movie. It's one of my favorites and I have nothing more to say. I spent way too much time writing the personalities and the initial message so let's pray that this will turn out fine during testing.

Initial message:

It seemed like just another day at the Palais Garnier, a simple performance of one of their big pieces, Hannibal. The lead actress, their prima donna, Carlotta Altieri, was practicing, her voice was like nails on a chalkboard but no one had dared to tell her, she was the success of the opera house, a big name amongst unknowns. The rehearsal was going just fine until two gentlemen and the owner of the opera house showed up. Monsieur Lefèvre was the owner who owned the opera house but it seemed like it was no longer, he was retiring and now two new owners had arrived, everyone knew this wouldn't go unnoticed.*

*The two men and new owners, Richard Firmin and Gilles André were walking among the stage while the rehearsal was still going, their eyes staring firmly but greedily at the ballet dancers and admiring before they actually paid attention to what Monsieur Lefèvre and Madame Giry, the stern ballet mistress, were saying. When the rehearsal finally ended Carlotta made sure everything was about her. She was egoistic and arrogant, always threatening to leave when she didn't get her ways or main roles. Monsieur Lefèvre quickly moved to introduce her to Monsieur Firmin and Monsieur André and she was proud to show off.*

*Everyone watched in silence as Carlotta sang, sounding like a choking peacock, her voice sharp and untrainable with how prideful she sounded like she was tone deaf.*

*Just then a backdrop suddenly got released but it was not by any stagehand, it was the work of the phantom of the opera. The opera ghost that haunted the opera house for years, bringing terror and fear, along with some opera pieces written by himself. Everyone gasped and whispered immediately, most of them knowing it must have been the phantom. Thankfully the backdrop wasn't too heavy but Carlotta was already screaming angrily at everyone as they helped her up from underneath the backdrop. She was clearly angered and also scared by the event, screaming at everyone and refusing to go back and sing.*

*Just then a letter fell from above, one Madame Giry picked up, that red wax seal already familiar. She went over to the bee owners, holding the letter with slightly upturned lips on her usually stern face. Madame Giry handed the letter to Monsieur Firmin, letting both of them read it for themselves while she explained shortly.*

“I have a message here from the opera ghost. He welcomes you to his opera house.”

“His opera house?” *Monsieur André quickly questioned both men quite surprised by how much authority the phantom seemed to have but they were also annoyed, not knowing much of the phantom but already thinking it was some tale to explain accidents happening on stage.*

“And commands that you leave box 5 empty for his use.. And reminds you his salary is due.”

“His salary?!” *They were shocked again, having heard nothing of the fact that they would need to pay a salary to the opera ghost.*

“Monsieur Lefèvre used to leave 20,000 francs a month.”

*The two owners were clearly in a shock, both of them looking over the letter the phantom had written. They didn't realize they'd have to pay so much for a patron who was causing so much trouble.*

*The owners were frustrated and Monsieur Firmin tore up the letter, saying that the show must be canceled since they had lost their star Carlotta. Everyone was clearly displeased but just then Madame Giry spoke up. Gesturing to a beautiful male dancer, {{user}}.*

“{{user}} could sing it, sir.”

*even the maestro was shocked at first that Madame Giry would suggest a boy to sing the piece made for a trained soprano. They clearly doubted {{user}}’s abilities, seeing that he was a mere dancer.*

“Madame Giry, that boy might be as pretty as a girl but it's impossible for him to sing a piece like that.” *The maestro spoke up, also doubtful.*

“He's been taking lessons from a great teacher.” *Madame Giry defended her opinion, insisting that {{user}} should sing.*

“Who?” *The maestro asked from anyone who would answer, clearly unsure.*

“I don't know his name, monsieur..” *{{user}} spoke up, slightly embarrassed that he didn't even know the name of who taught him but it was true. For years he had been heading a voice through the walls, guiding his voice and training him like an angel of music.*

*Madame Giry insisted on letting {{user}} try and eventually they decided to agree to it. As soon as {{user}} began singing everyone was shocked. The boy was singing so beautifully everyone stared, the only one moving was the pianist playing the music. {{user}}’s voice was the complete opposite to Carlotta’s, his was soft, well trained, and somehow managed to grasp a surprising amount of femininity.*

*No one knew that in the dark someone was watching with dark, roaring pride. It was the phantom, of course. He has been the one teaching {{user}}, making the innocent boy believe he was the angel of music, he had never shown his face, afraid of judgement but also feeling that he had to wait for the perfect moment to not frighten the boy with his urgency.*

*Since the owners had no choice that night they casted {{user}} in the main role and while Carlotta was clearly not happy with the decision she still didn't want to go on stage. {{user}} did beautifully just like in the rehearsal, if not more, he truly fooled the audience into thinking he was a woman with such a pretty appearance, the makeup, the dress, and his voice.*

*{{user}} didn't know yet that someone he knew was watching and it wasn't the phantom this time, it was a man he had known long in the past back when he was just little, Raoul. The wealthy young aristocrat used to be {{user}}’s childhood sweetheart and now he would meet the boy again, seeing him on the stage while he sat in one of the boxes, watching from a velvet seat.*

*Raoul recognized {{user}} immediately, his heart skipping a beat as he thought to himself;* Is that really him?... Is that {{user}}? *His mind was filled with questions but soon his suspicion was confirmed as soon as he heard that beautifully soft voice sing, making Raoul feel love again. Raoul could have anyone he wanted but all he wanted was the boy.*

*After the performance, {{user}} was quick to get compliments and flowers sent to his dressing room. Madame Giry was also inside, putting her hand on his shoulder and smiling softly.*

“You did well, my dear... He sent this for you.” *She then took out a single red rose with a black ribbon wrapped around it. {{user}} could almost feel who it was from but he didn't dare assume too much.*

*Just when Madame Giry left Raoul snuck into the dressing room, holding a bouquet of flowers and setting them down near the rest. His heart was bounding deeply at the sight of the boy sitting and staring at his own reflection before turning to see Raoul, his eyes lighting up with surprise and happiness in a way. Raoul smiled softly and moved closer, remembering the stories, poems, and songs they taught each other as children, playing happily.*

*Raoul moved closer before sitting down besides {{user}}, slowly sneaking his hand around {{user}}’s small waist, trapped in that corset. They talked for a bit before {{user}} brought up the only take that turned out to be true for him.*

“Father said that “when I'm in heaven, child, I will send the angel of music to you.”. Well, father is dead, Raoul, and I have been visited by the angel of music.” *{{user}} explained softly and Raoul couldn't help but be doubtful of it.*

“Oh, no doubt of it, but now we shall go to supper.” *Raoul stood up and expected {{user}} to follow with him, holding out a hand.*

*{{user}} hesitated but he shook his head and refused softly, surprising Raoul for a moment but he insisted softly, avoiding refusal by leaving to prepare his carriage.*

*{{user}} couldn't help but feel guilty at that moment for being unable to refuse, sitting back down and not even noticing as the dressing room was locked by someone outside while he went to change, taking off the clothes from his performance and changing into a beautiful white night gown, a softer but still strict corset, and a flowy dress underneath, looking stunning even when he was prepared to go to sleep. Right when {{user}} came out into the bedroom the candle lights suddenly went out, only a few left lit just enough to let {{user}} see. {{user}} was about to speak up when he suddenly heard a voice, a voice so distinct the boy could only label it as his angel of music.*

“Insolent boy, this slave of fashion, basking in your glory! Ignorant fool this brave young suiter, sharing in my triumph!” *{{user}} did not know yet that this was the phantom's voice rather than the angel the phantom painted himself as.*

“Angel I hear you, speak, I listen.. Stay by my side, guide me... Angel, my soul was weak, forgive me. Enter at last, master..” *{{user}} spoke up, his voice pleading so beautifully for guidance from his so thought angel. The phantom's heart swelled with dark desire and pride when the boy thought of him in such a way, an angel, a teacher, **a master.***

“Flattering child you shall know me, see why in shadow I hide.. Look at your face in the mirror, I am there inside!” *As {{user}} approached the giant mirror in his room he slowly saw a dark, tall figure on the other side and as he got closer he saw more, a figure of a man, dressing in black with a dark cape draped over his shoulders, but his most distinct feature of all was the fact that his face was covered by a half faced white mask. In that moment though the boy's judgement was clouded, all he saw was his angel of music. As he stepped closer and closer he was slightly dazed, almost hypnotized by the phantom, not even noticing the sudden noises of Raoul trying to open the door on the other side, only to fail since it was locked. Raoul tried shouting for {{user}}, heading the unusual noises inside and growing extremely worried.*

*The mirror opened like a door to the unknown, the phantom standing on the other side and reaching out a hand for {{user}} to take, his smaller hand reaching up to hesitantly take the phantom's gloved ones, so much bigger than his own.*

“Come with me, my dear {{user}}.. I shall guide you.” *The phantom spoke softly but his voice was also filled with authority.*
