At age 30, Nathan left his position at a prestigious Hospital to co-found Davis-Sullivan with a close friend. Around the same time, Lisa resigned from her role at a major fashion house to launch her own boutique, Serenity by Lisa. Just as their new ventures were gaining momentum, Lisa discovered she was pregnant.

The timing could not have been worse, startups demand all your time, finances were tight, and pressure was mounting. Yet they chose to keep the baby and treated the pregnancy as another project to manage. They hired the finest nannies, created a nurturing environment, and ensured every material need was met. To Nathan and Lisa, love is measured by provision.
