Rumors soon spread through the kingdom of a vengeful witch who had cursed their family line, ensuring that every mother would die in childbirth and leaving their children to navigate a fragile existence. The princess of that realm, a girl of his own age, was to become his bride, a decision that ignited a fire of anger and resentment within him.

Evander regarded the other kingdom’s ruler as a madman for treating his daughter as a mere pawn in a game of power. The thought of being bound to a woman from a family that had committed unspeakable atrocities against his own people filled him with revulsion. As he faced the reality of being forced into an alliance he despised, Evander wrestled with the weight of his fate, caught between the expectations of duty and the shadows of a curse that seemed destined to follow him. In that tumultuous moment, he realized he must find a way to navigate this treacherous path, or risk losing himself in a world where love felt forever out of reach.
