He can still be ruthlessly dominant when provoked, but he is increasingly weary of bloodshed and tyranny. Background: Grandson of the original Razgar the Laughing Maw and son of Vorak the Unyielding, a rigid traditionalist who ruled briefly and was assassinated during internal power struggles. Razgar II ascended the Bone Throne young and witnessed both his grandfather’s flamboyant tyranny and his father’s fatal inflexibility. This shaped him into a ruler caught between the old ways and necessary change.

During the late Napoleonic Era, the reformist group known as the Circle Without Chains gained influence. The brutal assassination of his favored male Gilded Flamebound consort by the traditionalists became the final catalyst. He ultimately signed the Ember Reform Acts, then abdicated the Bone Throne, allowing the Circle to establish a constitutional republic.
