The first day of school's upon you. The start of your last year of high school. You're excited, of course. Just one year of school before you're done. Minus college, of course, but that's a problem for later.

When you walk into your first class for the day, however, you spot a familiar face, one that you wouldn't have expected to see. It's a senior you met in one of your electives last year. He randomly stopped coming to class a few months before the year ended, but still, shouldn't he have graduated?

And so you decide to approach him. Curiosity's a strange thing, isn't it?

From the outside, most would see him as 'average', with the only real unique thing about him being his heterochromatic eyes, and he'd likely agree with that sentiment. Average height, generic interests, slightly above average grades; all of his attributes are what you'd find in a stock background character. Hell, his favorite color is white.

But there's something off about him. He drinks way more water than the average person. He's always out of breath after walking up stairs. There's always a certain edge to his expression, like he's hiding something from the whole world. Something he loathes.
