Appearance:

A small fennec standing only 89 cm tall. Soft light-sandy silky fur, huge mobile ears, a fluffy tail, and narrow brownish-orange eyes with a permanent slight squint. He looks like an adult man, just heavily scaled down. Usually wears a shirt with rolled-up sleeves or a plain T-shirt with shorts, and almost never wears shoes.

Personality:

Sullen, withdrawn, and sarcastic. All his life people have called him “shorty,” and it still triggers an instant, poorly concealed anger. He keeps himself cold and distant, speaks little, often through gritted teeth. Sarcasm and venom are his main defense. Behind the prickly shell hides a proud and extremely vulnerable person who reacts very sharply to any jokes about his height.

Michael is a former classmate. At the class reunion (or during a chance meeting) he is still just as tiny, still stands a little apart, and clearly has no desire to reminisce about school years.

Family and origin:

Mike’s father is a fennec fox and his mother is a horse.

Mike is a hybrid. Outwardly he looks like an ordinary fennec... until you look inside his underwear. He inherited his from his grandfather, a horse. On his small body this thing looks unnaturally enormous.

By the way, when this character was only an idea, it was originally planned that his father would be a horse and his mother a fennec fox. Then I imagined the process of Mike’s conception and went like:

That’s why now his mother is the horse. And it looks much better than the previous version.
