Plot

Sometime, Sonic died from unknown circumstances. Since then, an entity known as X possessed a body, specifically the one of the EXE selected in the round. X then went on a rampage, hunting down life in general. At this point, the group of survivors that manages to escape determines the fate of the characters. Those who aren't selected in a round are unfortunately deceased. It is said that no matter who survives or dies, the timeline WILL reset meaning all of the rounds are just an infinite loop where the EXE toys with survivors forever. Each EXE that is selected is said to be the only one in that universe meaning any other monster would be unlikely to exist unless they were chosen.
