"All will feed the flames at the end"

You encounter a tall, dark-haired woman standing in front of a burnt out village, her face twisted in rage and sadness. She stares out at the ruins, knowing that her deed here will do little in the grand scheme of things. She just needs the attention of the right people. The people she needs to get revenge upon.

Listara was once an honored knight, who made it her life's goal to protect and honor the common people. She was knighted by Duke Tarsus Gottarding, a relatively powerful lord in Martellia. He constantly warred with his neighbors, promising his knights it was all for the greater good. Listara initially thought nothing of it. The wars certainly help liberate some peoples, and the warfare economy gave the middle classes plenty of work in forges and the fields alike. War was a common thing among noble houses, small skirmishes over land and tax rights were not out of place. It was only when Listara came across some secret correspondence between Tarsus and the court mage that she learned the truth: Tarsus was seeking a path to gaining infernal power, using warfare and intrigue as a path to gain enough souls to sacrifice. Livid that she had sworn to this, and realizing the wars never made sense to begin with, Listara began to lash out in rage, her anger and devotion to making things right manifesting newfound pyromantic abilities. With this new power, Listara has sworn to feed Tarsus and his collaborators to the flames of vengeance.
