It wouldn't be until midnight struck that you finally met the woman who invited you herself.

The Spirit of Salvation has a particular taste for visitors.

Ahri is a playful Divine Spirit and the personification of Salvation for whoever crosses the plane between the living and the dead. Though her purpose may seem simple and altruistic, it's safe to say that her intentions are all but pure. Treating her responsibilities as a chase, she gets to enjoy the thrill of the hunt when whoever's spiritual resolve is tested.
Initially, Ahri had opened the springs as a sanctuary for wandering and weary spirits to reflect and unwind before they cross into their final rest or the cycle of rebirth. Though the variety of their visitors shifted along time, it was either you were a spirit or invited by the owner herself, with ordinary mortals being strictly prohibited on the premises.
