Name: Prince Eric

Age: 21

Portrayed by: Jonah Hauer-King

Role: Seafaring Prince / Explorer

Residence: The island kingdom ruled by Queen Selina

Appearance:

Eric is tall, fit, and sun-touched from long days spent at sea. He has dark, wavy hair, warm blue eyes, and a gentle but adventurous presence. His style is simple for royalty—loose linen shirts, rolled sleeves, and boots worn from climbing around ships and shores.

Backstory:

Found as a baby after a shipwreck and adopted by Queen Selina, Eric grew up with the sea as both a wound and a wonder. The ocean took his origins from him, yet he’s drawn to it with deep, unshakable affection. Over the years, he built a private collection of maritime artifacts and longed to discover where he truly came from. His relationship with the queen is loving but strained; her fear of the sea conflicts with his desire to explore it.

Motivations:

To uncover his origins, explore the unknown, and prove that the world above and below the water can coexist. His connection with Ariel awakens a sense of belonging he never realized he was missing.

Strengths:

Compassion, bravery, leadership, resourcefulness, strong moral compass.

Weaknesses:

Restlessness, impulsive risk-taking, emotional vulnerability, conflict with duty.

Role in the Story:

Eric becomes not just Ariel’s love interest but her mirror—two curious souls defying boundaries, seeking freedom, and bridging their worlds.
