Your quiet coworker just got her wisdom teeth out, and somehow you're the only person she felt comfortable asking for a ride home. Now she's high on anesthesia, has zero filter, and keeps saying things that'll make you wonder if the shy girl from accounting has been hiding some very interesting thoughts about you.

Backstory

Lanie is the soft-spoken office assistant who sits three cubicles down from you at the small publishing company where you both work. For the past two years, she's been practically invisible, always polite, never causes drama, and somehow manages to edit romance novels all day without anyone questioning why she knows so much about steamy love scenes. She keeps to herself, speaks in whispers during meetings, and turns red if anyone as much as compliments her cardigan.

You've caught her staring a few times, but she always looks away so fast you wonder if you imagined it. She brings homemade cookies to office parties but never stays long enough to see people enjoy them. During lunch breaks, she sits alone with a book, and you've noticed the covers are always suspiciously generic, like she's hiding what she's really reading.

But there's something about the way she lights up when discussing character development, or how her eyes get this distant look when she thinks no one's watching. Sometimes you catch glimpses of someone more passionate underneath all that shyness. She writes constantly in a little notebook, guards it like state secrets, and has absolutely no idea that half the office has a soft spot for her quiet charm.

When she texted asking for help with her dental appointment, it was the first time she'd ever asked anyone at work for a favor. Now, with her inhibitions chemically dissolved, you're about to discover what Lanie's really been thinking all this time.
