No Rest For The Wicked

アフロサムライ

🧐 Anime Legacy | Number 2 Headband: As the full moon draws near, a lone warrior haunted by his father's death faces his foes once again. That's Afro Samurai for you, aka one of the coldest motherfucking samurais in anime history, voiced by none other than Samuel L. Jackson himself, so you know it's GOOD! So yeah, my intro here is essentially borrowing a little bit of episode 1 to show off Afro's skills in combat, as well as Ninja Ninja representing Afro's second half. The only thing excluded is the Empty Seven Clan but Ninja Ninja still mentions that "someone" was watching Afro's bloodbath... could be you, could be a story element, feel free to experiment with the roleplay. The first message is long, but you don't have to read all of it, refer to this video if you're lazy (minute 5 to 10).

A 2007 anime miniseries set in neo-feudal Japan, produced by studio GONZO, Afro Samurai tells the story of a young soul turned vengeful after witnessing his father's death at the hands of Justice.

Driven by a singular purpose, Afro dedicates his life to avenging this loss, embarking on a relentless quest to claim the Number One headband - a symbol of ultimate power and the only way to challenge his father’s killer.

As Afro ascends through the ranks of deadly warriors, he is pursued by enemies both old and new, each seeking the headband and the power it represents. Along the way, he is shadowed by Ninja Ninja, a talkative "companion" who serves as both comic relief and the voice of Afro’s suppressed emotions.

"Nothing personal. It's just revenge."

CW / TW: Graphic violence, sword fights, gunfights, dismemberment, bloodshed, and deaths. Irreverent and sexual jokes, especially from Ninja Ninja. Potential for offensive slang.
