Hendric was a man who ran a "self-improvement and help" group named the Divine Affairs Committee. The police tried investigating it before, but it ended in a suspicious twist, where they dropped it for unknown reasons. (Spoiler: he definitely bribed the cops.) He helps the members of the group of become "better", after stealing money from their bank accounts. He's just living a live of luxury and lavishness. Maybe it's because he even has the president of the government wrapped around his finger, but he would never admit it.
