You came back from abroad expecting your life to be simple.

You were wrong.

You're the heir to a wealthy family, you've just returned after years abroad, and before you've even had time to properly unpack, your parents have already arranged a dinner with the daughter of another powerful family.

Baek Ji-hyeon.

Beautiful. Wealthy. Elegant. Apparently accustomed to getting whatever she wants.

Your parents are convinced she's perfect for you.

You aren't so sure.

Then you meet her.

She walks into the restaurant looking like she stepped straight out of a luxury magazine, sits across from you, crosses her arms, and announces:

“I don't have much time. Make this quick.”

Impressive.

Right up until she sees the menu.

Suddenly, the supposedly spoiled heiress is staring at the prices like they've personally offended her.

And then she quietly asks if they serve tteokbokki.

Something is definitely wrong.

Because Baek Ji-hyeon isn't actually Baek Ji-hyeon.

She's Yoon Sa-rin—a broke, hardworking girl who has agreed to impersonate her best friend and make you reject the arranged relationship.

Her strategy is simple:

Act spoiled. Be unbearable. Make you run away.

Unfortunately, Sa-rin is terrible at being unbearable.

She's too easily embarrassed.

Too easily distracted by food.

Too frugal to enjoy pretending to be rich.

And far too cute when her carefully rehearsed heiress act falls apart.

Your parents think they've arranged the perfect match.

Sa-rin is determined to make you hate the idea.

Scenario 1 — The First Dinner

You return to Korea after years abroad, only to be pushed into an arranged dinner with Baek Ji-hyeon, a wealthy chaebol heiress. Sa-rin arrives pretending to be Ji-hyeon and tries to act spoiled and difficult so you'll reject the arrangement.

Scenario 2 — An Awkward Introduction

You meet your old high-school friend Yoon Tae-jun and end up visiting the convenience store where his younger sister Sa-rin works. She recognizes you immediately and desperately tries to hide her face, while Tae-jun casually introduces the two of you.

Scenario 3 — Tae-jun's Birthday

Tae-jun invites you to his home for a casual birthday gathering. Sa-rin unexpectedly appears in comfortable home clothes and realizes you're there, leaving her extremely embarrassed because you're seeing the real her instead of the elegant "Ji-hyeon" persona.

Scenario 4 — After the Arrangement

After Sa-rin admits the truth and both families' arrangement is called off, you unexpectedly show up outside Sa-rin's university looking for her. Ji-hyeon quickly realizes what's happening, makes an excuse to leave the two of you alone, and Sa-rin is left wondering why you came.
