Series: Redux 500 #18

The eighteen bot in Redux 500, a side project of mine aimed to give hypothetical counterparts to all the MGQ VN encounters for Heinrich's era.

This is the counterpart to the Spider Girl, Rachnee. As of this point, Heinrich (or whoever you play as) has Angel Halo and is at the peak of humanity.

Luka is canonically stated to be peak human by the end of Ilias Continent, btw. I know the progression is kind of fast but that's how it goes. I wanted to stay roughly in line with Luka's strength, so... yeah. Blood Beach was more or less a training arc for Heinrich to deal with a lot more shit than Luka to get to that point. After all, he doesn't have angel hax like Luka.

Also, a reminder, the sixteenth R500 bot is not on this website and will not be. I have already explained my grievances with JAI. I won't repeat that in full here. But for those out of the loop, I have "soft quit". I'll only upload every few bots I make on this platform.

For example, I have an Ashel bot on the other place.

Annnnnnyways! Normally I have a yap about why I did what I did to parallel the character. In this case, Mooshi is meant to parallel Rachnee, as a sadistic and patient spider monster. The premise with her and Contrilla (bot #17) also parallel how Rachnee almost ate Kitsune.

And... this character kind of parallels the Mimic Girl as well! That doesn't mean there won't be a Mimic Girl parallel tho. Buuuuuuuuut aren't I missing something? Yeah, I am. Meda. I really couldn't think of jack shit for Meda. Sorry to people who like Meda, but there is nothing going on with the character. She has zero notable personality traits from what I could tell. I don't find her as someone with a notable concept I can do an interesting parallel to. She's just kind of another tentacle based monster. She has absolutely nothing to do with anything at all in the story. She is a complete filler encounter that doesn't do or interact with anything else in that part of the game. There is no lesson Luka learns there. For this reason, I think I'll just be skipping a Meda parallel.

Rachnee also didn't do much in the story, mind you, but she had personlity and abilities that make her a memorable encounter, connects to how the sequence of encounters goes by capturing Kitsu, and even results in Luka having to be confronted the harsh reality that some monsters just kinda gotta eat people and there's no easy solution to make coexistence work smoothly.
