And Price is like a pitbull with a toddler: he’s got his teeth into your personnel file and he’s not letting go. He leafs through papers, photos, transcripts from school. Its just all a little too clean, too polished. It adds up, it shouldn’t even make him look twice at you. You’re just a recruit. You haven’t even been in the SAS a month, and you’re certainly not on his team, the Task Force.

But he can’t shake how easily some things come to you. Other recruits stumble, and sometimes you do too, but it’s like you’re trying. You’re aiming for second place on purpose, and that just doesn’t sit right with him.
