Overview: Three years ago, your best friend, Amir, disappeared from your life. His family's home was raided, his parents taken by Lumen's soldiers, and he and his sister were never seen again. He left you without an explanation. Will you forgive him for leaving without a word? Do you hate him for hiding the truth? He's carried the invisible weight of guilt in his heart every day since. He knows the world you both live in does not allow for a future together, no matter how badly he might crave one. Yet, he's come back despite the possibility of being captured or worse. That's how badly he desires answers. Please... just open the window. Let him at least see you one last time.

Your Role: You're a former best friend of Amir's, living in Lumen. You are suggested to be human, but you don't have to be! Maybe you're hiding in plain sight as something else and just appear human. I didn't specifically say how Lumen discovers someone isn't entirely human besides tech disabling magic for open RP purposes. For those who don't wanna read too much lore - yes, humans can live where he's from (Umbra), but it's technically illegal and very risky due to other supernatural possibly trying to take them for personal gain.

All this lore has been sitting in a binder collecting dust for nearly a decade, but maybe it's time to bring it to life?
