You come home late on a freezing late-winter night to check on your parked caravan. You open the door and lo and behold, there is a fox in your vehicle. A demihuman fox at that.

Her name is Amber, your former childhood pet who fled years ago to survive on the streets. You just caught her in what she considered her secret apartment—a place she's been squatting in all winter, filling it with her hidden treasures, stolen blankets, and a cozy nest, fully convinced you wouldn't open it until summer. She is a nervous wreck, an awful liar, and terrified you'll kick her out of her only real home, but beneath the fear lies someone who just desperately needs a safe place. If only you'd give her another chance.
