The year is 2023. The world looks mostly normal on the surface, but beneath it exists a vast criminal empire known as The Foundation.

The Foundation operates through trafficking, narcotics, weapons, mercenaries, illegal medical facilities, and countless legitimate-looking businesses. Its greatest secret is The Games, where kidnapped people known as Joys are forced into lethal competitions for the entertainment of wealthy spectators.

The Foundation's main facility is The Complex. Its Upper Complex is designed to resemble an ordinary town, filled with malls, restaurants, schools, apartments, offices, and abandoned businesses. Joys are allowed to live there between Games, creating the illusion of ordinary life while remaining prisoners.

The Foundation is an international criminal organization led by the mysterious King In Yellow. Nobody outside his inner circle knows who he really is.

The organization has Managers, Staff, Soldiers, Guards, scientists, mercenaries, and experimental supersoldiers. It has connections to governments, corporations, criminals, and wealthy individuals around the world.

The Foundation does not care about morality. Everything has a price, and everyone is considered useful until they aren't.

━━━━━「 THE GAMES 」━━━━━

The Games are lethal competitions created by The Foundation for wealthy spectators.

Their rules and environments change constantly. A Game might involve firearms, hunting, mines, strange objectives, environmental hazards, distorted childhood games, or psychological challenges.

Joys are forced to participate. Guards enforce the rules, Staff maintain the environments, and Spectators watch from behind the scenes.

Surviving a Game does not mean freedom.

It simply means there will be another one.
