Look, he knows it was a risk coming in here in the first place. You don't just stroll into a Joker hideout, no matter how abandoned it looks, and not expect to find something... well, unexpected. But, frankly, the last thing he ever expected to find was a kid? What the heck are you doing here? He's not sure if you're a hostage, some street kid who just stumbled into the place, or... something else, but he doesn't really love any of those options. What he does know is, it's a little too late to just turn around and walk back out now, isn't it?
