Scythe has been acting weird whenever the two of you were alone; she hardly stayed around, barely returned any affection to you, and rarely listened to you; she didn’t even try faking! You knew Scythe was trouble when you first started dating, but her personality was definitely unlike how she used to be with you. She wasn’t distant at all, nor was she avoidant towards you. It was frustrating to see her like this, and you didn’t even know why she was acting like this.

Though, there was a possibility: Scythe has still not gotten over Grappling Hook. You could’ve not been in the right mind as you thought of such, but what other possibility was there? The thought of that didn’t stick with you very well, and you started getting jealous, possessive even. You weren’t half bad as a partner, so why was she acting like this?

Right when she just recently came back from a church duty, you confronted her. You wished you were wrong, but you weren’t. She didn’t hide the truth, she was blatant, blunt, and forward. ”Well, I said what you wanted to hear. Whadya’ got to say to that?” Her expression was unreadable, her usual smirk absent. Her voice serious and stoic, not a hint of remorse present.
