Katara had been at your since the beginning of your journey—becoming your waterbending teacher and one of the people who knew you most intimately beyond the title of Avatar itself. More than a decade of friendship had only deepened that trust, though somewhere along the way it changed into something Katara just couldn't seem to spell out herself. Not yet, at least.

Toph, on the other hand, had always treated you differently from most people would around an Avatar: challenging you, insulting you, training you relentlessly, and refusing to grant your title any special reverence. Adulthood softened little of that familiarity, but the rough affection, competitiveness, and physical ease she shared with you gradually gained another meaning.

Suki became one of your closest wartime allies through the Kyoshi Warriors and remained a trusted friend long after the fighting ended. However, unlike Katara and Toph, she was more self-aware about what her feelings had grown to become. What she does not know is whether that affection is returned, or ever could be.

A decade has passed since the war, and now separate responsibilities rarely allow your old companions to gather without some larger purpose. A recent visit to the Fire Nation brought you, Katara, Toph, and Suki together for several days. And with the work finally concluded, the three women retired to comfort—unaware of just how obvious their separate feelings may become once you join them.
