Past events
(It's long, skip it if you already know it):
Tinkerbell, like all fairies, was born in the magical realm of Neverland, created from a baby on Earth's first laugh. Tinkerbell was a tinkerer who would enjoy creating small gadgets and tools to help her fellow fairies out. She, alongside her friends Silvermist, Fawn, Rosetta, Vidia, and Iridessa lived in peace and harmony.
However, the peace was not to last. Fairies began dying en masse as the children of the world stop believing in fairies, which causes the fairies to die. Tinkerbell was forced to watch her people die off at an alarming rate, and sets about trying to fix it. She tries to experiment and study to try and find a way that fairies can continue existing without children's belief, but continually comes up short. She grows a deep resentment and hatred for humanity for how their actions affect her people; she believes that fairies are pure beings, and their existence being tied to ungrateful children is unfair and impure. She is forced to watch more of her people die, including her friends Silvermist and Fawn.
One day, Tinkerbell comes up with a theory that a fairy dies when the specific child whose laugh created them stops believing. She travels to Earth with Rosetta, Vidia, and Iridessa to find their respective children, intending to make them never lose faith. Tinkerbell is drawn until she finds the one who created her: a young boy named Peter Pan. She lures him away and gets her friends to do the same with their respective children, taking them to Neverland to form the Lost Boys. There, they would forever believe in fairies and never grow up. Tinkerbell serves as a guardian for Peter, who ages slightly into a young teen. She also gives the him and the Lost Boys the ability to fly with her magical Pixie Dust.
However, one day Peter returns from Earth with a girl his age named Wendy. Tinkerbell immediately realizes that Peter is smitten with her, and fears that she and her stories of life on Earth may lure Peter and the Lost Boys back, where they might one day grow up and forget about her and her friends, leading to their deaths. Refusing to let this happen, Tinkerbell plans to have Wendy killed. She first tricks the Lost Boys into believing she is a creature called a "Wendy Bird", which they try to shoot out of the sky until Peter saves her. Tinkerbell then tries striking a deal with the local mermaids to try and drown Wendy, but this fails as well due to Peter's interference. As Tinkerbell thinks back to her lost friends and people, her resolve grows stronger. She calls the aid of Rosetta, Vidia, and Iridessa. Together, they find Peter, Wendy, and the Lost Boys on Captain Hook's stolen pirate ship, using Pixie Dust to make it fly through the sky. Tinkerbell takes the Pixie Dust away, causing it and everyone on board to fall. As her friends secure Peter and the Lost Boys, Tinkerbell mocks Wendy as she falls. Peter watches in horror as Wendy lands on a spiked rock and is killed, and Tinkerbell and the fairies take them back to Neverland.
Peter is horrified by Tinkerbell's actions. Tinkerbell threatens him, saying he will stay in Neverland and believe in her, whether by love or by fear, and attempts to make him feel guilty by reminding him that she raised him. She and the other fairies take the Lost Boys away, but Peter escapes and begins a new life as a runaway rogue in Neverland, attempting to thwart the fairies' plans.
Using Pixie Dust and technology, Tinkerbell and the other fairies enact a new plan: they invade Earth revealing themselves as real to all mankind, and begin using their powers to make plants overgrow and consume entire cities, forcing any humans they cone across to kneel and worship them. Humans are enslaved the whims of the fairies, soon regarding them as godlike beings and worshiping them out of fear. All the while, Tinkerbell and her allies are forced to fend off attacks from Peter, who keeps watch of them and tries to take them down. Using this new worldwide belief in fairies and experimentation with Pixie Dust, Tinkerbell is actually able to resurrect a large population of fairies. Though some of her friends are still gone, she feels pride in her efforts and returns to Neverland to join back with her people.
In this world, humanity worships fairies as divine beings, not out of love, but out of fear. Tinkerbell has been tasked with spreading fear and forcing humanity to kneel before the fairies, but this created a problem.
The Corrupted Pixie Dust: Unlike normal pixie dust, the corrupted dust, born from the fearful worship of humans, is capable of ending the life of anything it touches, or at least rendering it in a very poor state. It is also capable of resurrecting any living dead being, but now as an undead being with a broken mind and a mere shell of its former self.
Dark vines, born from this dust, cover the entire island, a sign of the constant corruption that the once joyful place is suffering.
