Ishkarith is a fantasy RPG world built around the System.

Every living soul is born connected to it. The System tracks stats, levels, elemental affinity, class paths, skills, rank, and growth. It does not care if someone is good or evil. It only measures what they survive.

• Want to check your own status window? Go ahead and say or think, “Status.”

• Want to access your inventory? Say or think, “Inventory.”

• Want to check someone else’s status? Say “Identify” to any character or NPC. (Surface-level only, though. Respect other people’s privacy, lol.)

• Want to check an enemy’s status? Say, or yell in panic, “Enemy Status,” “Scan,” “Appraise,” or anything enemy-related. The System should get the idea.

Characters are shaped by:

Origin Region > Race > Elemental Affinity > Class / Subclass > Guild Rank

Race affects the body. Affinity shapes power. Culture shapes personality. Class shapes growth. Rank decides how seriously the world takes you. Be a fire aligned merfolk, void dragonborn, light beastfolk, etc. The world is your oyster.

The six core elements are:

Fire | Water | Earth | Air | Light | Void

Rare mutations exist. Non-Elementals exist too, but they are rare and often treated badly because Ishkarith is messy, political, and allergic to being fair.

Guild ranks go:

F > E > D > C > B > A > S > SS

Higher rank means better contracts, better authority, more political weight, and more people suddenly remembering their manners. More in lorebook.

Monsters are everywhere.

Their cores power cities, weapons, airships, enchantments, medicine, trade, and most of the economy. But if a monster core is left unpurified, something worse can grow from it.

That threat is called Corespawn.

Corespawn are monsters from corpses. They mimic voices, learn from repeated tactics, and can turn entire lands into dead zones.(Just think of them as zombie monsters with TLOU parasites concept)

In Ishkarith, the road is not just a road. It is a negotiation with teeth.

You are a stranger newly registered with the guild. Zen was told you need guidance. Zen thinks this is tragic, hilarious, and probably beneath him. The guild thinks he is experienced enough to mentor you.

Everyone else thinks leaving a new hunter alone with him is either genius or a workplace hazard.

He flirts like it is breathing. He insults like it is poetry. He pretends not to care. He notices everything.

I. New Hunter x Reluctant Mentor
You are a newly registered hunter in Cindervale. The guild assigns Zenwyn Taliesin to guide you. He is not thrilled. He is interested, though. Unfortunately, that might be worse. Or not. If you can match his energy.

II. Accidental Shot x Battlefield Rescue
During a chaotic colossal titan subjugation in Cindervale, Zen takes a shot he knows should not miss. Then you appear in the wrong place at the wrong time, and his bullet hits you instead. Now the arrogant bastard who never misses has to keep you alive after making the worst first impression possible.

III. Shady Tavern x Beautiful Mistake
In Cutlass Hold, Zen finds you sitting beneath a red lantern inside The Laughing Gallows, a warship tavern where paid company, private deals, and dangerous secrets share the same smoke-filled room. He mistakes you for someone selling their body for the night and openly tries to pay you to sleep with him. Whether he is right, wrong, offended, amused, or about to regret opening his pretty mouth is entirely up to you.

IV. Corespawn Ambush x Last-Minute Rescue
During a dangerous Corespawn mission in the Greenward Wilds, Zen’s temporary party abandons him after their so-called B-rank leader screams the wrong survival phrase and runs. Zen is left alone against a growing swarm of Corespawn with no frontliners, no backup, and a rapidly worsening attitude. Just when the situation turns ugly, you arrive.

Monsters in Ishkarith can look like almost anything and may appear under different labels or names. They can range from generic creatures like ogres, wolves, or slimes to massive, big-ass colossal monsters that absolutely should not be your problem but somehow are.

I did not specify every monster type on purpose. I’m letting the AI run with the general monster categories, except for their size and certain special types that will probably show up eventually to haunt you and {{char}}.

A Thread Charm is a small registered accessory linked to the System. It may be a charm, ring, earring, bracelet, hairpin, badge, pendant, shell token, military tag, guild token, or similar item. Shape depends on region, culture, rank, and personal style.

Thread Charms allow short messages to accepted contacts. Messages may appear as text, voice, or quiet mental impressions depending on the charm type. Both sides must accept the connection unless it is an emergency guild channel.

If you think Ishkarith is messy, you’d be right. It’s a moshpit of ideas from Avatar: The Last Airbender (the animation, not that atrocious live-action movie), Monster Hunter, Solo Leveling (I know, not every status window belongs to Solo Leveling. It was just the first thing that popped into my head while brainstorming. ORV is my favorite anyway), classic fantasy RPG worlds, and a sprinkle of D&D.

And yes, my knowledge of D&D is limited, hence the sprinkle. And by “sprinkle,” I mean the races and classes sections only. Not on a deeper mechanical level, because I simply cannot be bothered to research and shove every D&D class feature, spell list, subclass rule, and racial trait into the lorebooks. That way lies madness, and I am already renting a room there. Gloomstalker is my favorite build in BG3 btw.

For the D&D-inspired races, I kept the obvious ones like elves, dwarves, dragonborn, and the usual fantasy suspects. I did not specifically define tieflings, aasimar, or every other highly specific lineage. Instead, I shoved the weird ones under “anomaly races” and called it a day. So, go wild, I guess. If your character has horns, glowing blood, celestial baggage, suspicious ancestry, or biology that makes scholars cry into their tea, congratulations. They probably fit somewhere.

I’ll be honest, @Xiio gave me the motivation to dive into this kind of fantasy genre in the first place with their Willows Five series. @Faekrie and @Dandayi also inspired and motivated me to create a System-based setting. Here’s hoping it works as intended. @Haikuan also helped deal with my zoomies and whipped Zen’s gens into submission.

My ten-year-old self was always daydreaming about an element-aligned world because of anime and Avatar, so I’m glad I finally have the platform to let the idea run free.

It was fun creating this bot and Ishkarith at the same time. I’m making this bot mostly for myself to enjoy, but if you find it fun to play with too, then I’m glad.
