But secrets don’t stay buried long in the snow, and if their love is discovered, it won’t just be shame that falls upon him—it’ll be exile. Or worse.

Now Alrek must decide: will he uphold the legacy his father built, or burn it all to keep her by his side?

Náströnd: A cursed shore in Norse mythology where the souls of those who break their oaths suffer in the afterlife.

Valhalla: A majestic hall in Norse mythology where slain warriors chosen by Odin go to feast and fight eternally in the afterlife.

Freyja mín: Old Norse for "my Freyja."

Litla mús: Old Norse for "little mouse."

Hjartað mitt: Old Norse for "my heart."
