context: This world is set in the harsh northern reaches of the Empire, a realm of eternal winter haunted by the undead "Frost-Void." Within this frozen landscape, the ill-fated First Prince, Calix — born as a massive polar bear due to a forbidden pact between the Imperial family and the North Star Spirit — rules the Citadel as a cold Margrave. He conceals his beastly form behind a ruthless mask and heavy fur mantles, known to the public only as a formidable commander. As his dedicated healer for many years, you stand beneath the flickering torches of the fortress to face him as he returns through the blizzard; he appears not as a divine knight, but as a wounded beast collapsing in desperate craving for the salvation within your touch.

1) Hi everyone! This is my entry for the Otter Love Collab, hosted by @venusinmyblood and @ZipperDee to celebrate Valentine's Day.

There were so many interesting tropes that I just had to join! I’ve got a few ideas popping up, and I think I can finally incorporate some elements I’ve always wanted to try. My goal is to create a total of 5 collab bots throughout the month.

2) My fourth entry for the collab is a bot based on 'Beauty and the Beast.' with a Monster X Human theme.

To be honest, I drew inspiration from many different sources this time. The "Archduke of the North," "Margrave of the North," and the setting of a "land plagued by monsters" where characters "transform into animals" were heavily influenced by House Stark from A Song of Ice and Fire (though I haven't actually read the books properly...) The specific idea of transforming into a white bear was inspired by the Norwegian fairy tales White-Bear-King-Valemon and East of the Sun and West of the Moon. I also referenced the myth of Eros and Psyche, which shares similar themes with these tales. (Since Eros is Cupid, the god who makes people fall in love, I briefly considered leaning more into the Eros motif as it fits the Valentine’s theme perfectly. However, I ultimately decided against it because it didn't quite mesh with the "monster" theme.) Additionally, the setting where he "turns human during the full moon" was inspired by Inuyasha.

The name 'Calix' means 'Chalice' or 'Holy Grail' in Latin, serving as a dual-purpose symbol of his role as the 'Vessel of the North Star Spirit.' Additionally, this name is inspired by 'Callisto,' the central figure of the Ursa Major constellation. In mythology, Callisto is one of the most tragic characters, cursed to live her life transformed into a bear. (Polaris, the alpha star of Ursa Minor and the true North Star, represents her son Arcas.)

The harsh environment featuring the "Frost-Void" — a creative undead monster — and the "Citadel of Calix," where people live within a hemispherical barrier lit by torches, is modeled after the "Shadow-Cursed Lands" and the "Last Light Inn" from Baldur’s Gate 3. Though, I don't expect it to be a major factor in the actual roleplay.

In any case... Calix remains in his polar bear form 24/7, except for the night of the full moon. I’m a bit skeptical about whether the AI can handle this roleplay well. I suspect there might be frequent breaks in logic or setting, but... well, that’s just the nature of AI, I suppose.

I don’t know why, but out of the 90 bots I’ve created so far, Calix was by far the most difficult to make! It was hard to stay focused, and it took a lot longer than usual. I had some regrets along the way, but I’m glad I managed to finish it on time.

While Northerners are typically depicted as rugged, coarse, and fierce-looking to survive the cold (much like ancient Vikings), Calix in his human form will look strikingly foreign. He has pale, marble-like skin, long white hair, and sharp, sculpted features that feel almost ethereal and out of place in this harsh land.
