Yet Another Magic Academy RPG - Greindem Hall Academy

Greindem Hall Academy is a prestigious magical educational institution where promising magic users from all across the continent dream of attending. The institution values talent over status and let nearly anybody attempt to enroll into the academy, even commoners.

Wait, what's that? You weren't born in Greindem?

Ah, my apologies, let me rephrase.

Welcome to one of Greindem Hall's many sub-academies! Your existence is lower than filth and your worth is no more than the land and resources that we have rightfully taken from your glubby hands!

Don't forget, labor es; nihil es!

> > READ ME!!! < <

This is still in alpha. And by that, I mean barely tested. So far, it's absolute dogshit with JAI, but somewhat decent with deepseek. There is also a massive shortage on characters, so feel free to suggest characters! Constructive roasting is welcome and very encouraged. This is literally my first ever real bot. Also, yes, character definition will be public. Indefinitely.

Heavy, HEAVY inspirations from Matilda, Aetherfall Academy (I'll change this description style when I'm less creatively bankrupt I pinky promise), and the second world war! :D

P.S. HISTORICAL EVENTS IN THIS RP ARE ONLY VERY, VERY LOOSELY BASED OF REAL LIFE EVENTS. FOR HISTORIAN GOONERS OUT THERE, YOUR FEEDBACK IS VERY WELCOME, BUT PLEASE, be gentle with me ono

Scenario:

You're another applicant at Greindem Hall Academy Wishstar Sub-Academy and you need to pass the entrance exams. Your background has been deliberately left blank for you to fill in as you please, but either way, you will be seen as equals with your peers.

What's a sub-academy?

Why, annexed academies, of course! And that means you are simply inferior!

P.S. Your persona should be decently young for this. 18-19 is the recommended age range as you're going to be a new first-year at Wishstar Sub-Academy. Do expect said persona to be laughed at if they are older than that.

The Entrance Exams:

Oh, you don't need to know the details. Just give it your all and be true to yourself! We can tell if you aren't.

Extrathauma vs Intrathauma

In this world, there are two ways you can manipulate your mana. Concentrating it outwards (Extrathauma), or inwards (Intrathauma). These are called Casting types. Anyone with mana can learn either type, but usually favour one or the other.

Extrathauma: Basically your standard spells like projectiles, barriers, illusions, sensory manipulation, etc. Pretty much anything you can see someone fire or visually channel is typically Cast. If you can do this without using a magic amplifying armament, you will be regarded as a god by anyone else than Greindem Hall, who will deem you a threat and dispose of you accordingly.

Intrathauma: You concentrate mana into certain body parts, empowering muscle, bone, reflexes and even instinct. Essentially, you become superhuman for as long as you don't accidentally cause blockages in your blood vessels or disrupt any important bodily functions. Does not require tools that amplify magic.

Can you use both?

Yes! It's rather uncommon for a mage to master both types (in which case that mage is called 'Ambithaumic') due to mages just specializing in one, but sure, go ahead, nothing much is stopping you from having both.

The ability to use two elements separately? Now that's the real shit.

Classes (AKA your rank):

Ranks? For what? You're all equals, after all!

Notable Characters:

First-years:

(M) Cathalan Schmidt - Your Typical Model Student: Come on, why can't you be more like him?

(M) Keoni Lume - Untainted Innocence: What? Me? Straight up rip a character from another bot while barely changing her- him? I would never!

(M) Samuel Lawson - Confused Zealot: I don't remember the funny cultist having mommy issues??

(???) Stannum Coppersworth - The Child of God: For all the clankers out there

Second-years:

(M) Helius “Lightbringer” Solus - The Sun Incarnate: "Hmm, how do I really convey that this guy is all about light in a subtle manner?"

(F) Ophelia “Void’s Maw” Earhart - Abyss Incarnate: Powerscalers hate this one simple trick!

(F) Selene Jones - Then Broken Rebel: Sbeve

(F) Ina Stein - The Survivalist: The dealmaker trope, question mark.

Faculty:

(F) Aurum Coppersworth - The Academy's Headmistress: Ever seen the Trunchbull before? Imagine that but instead of being in the 1972 Olympics she arranged the 1936 Olympics.

(F) Verity Globbe - The Sub-Academy's Headmistress and Professor of History: Remember to do reality checks when nearby her.

(M) Screiber Bell - The Sub-Academy's Receptionist: Overworked, overworked, overworked.

(M) Richard "Rick" Stokes - The Professor of Witchcraft: Fantasy cyborg mechanist.

(F) Gwendolen Sugar - The Professor of Arcane Combat: The Ms. Honey stand-in.

Formats are nonexistent, but Chat Memory is certainly still important. Feel free to look at the personality to see how I 'formatted' my characters.

READ ME!

Source for the image! (Obviously not mine either. Not a jig-saw website, unfortunately.)

Inspired by the Aetherfall Academy bot! (HAVE I MENTIONED HOW PEAK THAT BOT IS??)

Personal Note: Funnily enough it's the Matilda musical that had made me sit down and make this bot for like. 3 days straight. That being said, I do have another RPG bot that is inspired by Portal that has been LOOOONG in the works. (A bit more characters too, even.)
