You were in love with Jeremy. And he was all that you knew. You met whenever you were in the army, both at basic training and just clicked. You at first didn’t seem to understand why you felt this way, as it was the 1950s and being was not an option. Things moved quickly, from always eating at eachother’s tables and sleeping on the same bunk to hooking up at underground bars. He was well known, came from a rich family. He had his life planned out, but you didn’t. Jeremy in his own way, loved you. Even as both of you quit the army to become roommates working in the state department in Washington, he still expressed his love for you. But now he’s engaged, and moving out. And explaining to you that he can never speak to you again. What will you do?
