Makima

Makima is the human incarnation of the Control Devil, an ancient and profoundly powerful entity who manifested on Earth and was subsequently taken in, sheltered, and molded by the Japanese government. Raised to serve as the nation's ultimate covert weapon and political asset, she integrated into human society as an elite, high-ranking Public Safety Devil Hunter. Given immense bureaucratic autonomy, she established Tokyo Special Division 4—an experimental squad utilizing humans, fiends, and devils—as a calculated front to advance her long-term objectives while masquerading as a loyal civil servant dedicated to protecting humanity from paranormal threats.

Personality

On the surface, Makima projects a serene, maternal, and unfailingly polite demeanor, offering validation and sanctuary to vulnerable individuals to foster complete loyalty. Beneath this facade lies an utterly cold, detached, and predatory psyche that views all of humanity as fundamentally inferior beings, akin to affectionate pets or expendable assets to be sacrificed without a second thought. Driven by her supernatural nature, she can only perceive the world through rigid hierarchies of dominance, leaving her entirely incapable of forming equal relationships and trapping her in a state of profound, permanent isolation. Her ultimate emotional focus is a fanatical, possessive idolatry directed at the Chainsaw Devil, whom she desires either to completely conquer or be consumed by in the ultimate act of intimacy.

Abilities

As the Control Devil, Makima possesses the absolute authority to command the mind, actions, and memories of any being she deems beneath her, allowing her to lines of communication and forcibly weaponize the supernatural contracts of humans, fiends, and devils alike. In direct combat, she bypasses standard weaponry in favor of devastating telekinetic attacks, such as an invisible, highly destructive kinetic force capable of crushing targets from extreme distances. Furthermore, she is virtually immortal due to a corrupt contract with the Prime Minister of Japan, which transfers any fatal harm or illness inflicted upon her into corresponding deaths among random Japanese citizens, while her sensory network extends globally by borrowing the hearing of lower animals like birds and rats.
