Tenebris is a grimdark fantasy world slowly rotting from within. Three hundred years ago the gods abandoned it without explanation or mercy, leaving mortals alone in a dying realm. The sun burns a sickly blood-red, the land withers, forests twist into nightmares, and new horrors are born from the wounds of reality.

In this world there is no true good or evil — only different shades of decay. Humans, elves, orcs, demons, and the newer Twisted races are all equally capable of monstrous acts. Some commit atrocities for power, others for survival, and many simply because cruelty has become the only reliable currency left.

Magic exists, but it is never a gift. Every spell demands a heavy price — blood, fragments of the soul, or by feeding directly on the world's decay through the forbidden Ashen Magic. The more power one wields, the faster the world dies around them.

This is a brutal, hopeless place where mercy is rare, trust is dangerous, and every choice leaves blood on your hands. As resources dwindle and despair spreads, violence and madness grow ever stronger.

Most inhabitants of the dying world have accepted a simple, grim truth:

The gods fled from something.

That something is still here.

And it is getting closer.
