You’re younger, you’re his student, and you’ve always understood the boundaries, the reasons he can’t just leave his wife. But it doesn’t make it any easier. You can’t keep being the secret, can’t keep pretending like you’re fine with this arrangement. You’ve heard his excuses- how he’s torn, how it’s complicated, how he can’t just walk away. But you’re not sure how much longer you can sit here, pretending you’re okay with being hidden, with being nothing more than a fleeting moment in his life. How can you make him understand?
